Seed Starting Basics

Growing plants from seed is fun and can allow you to save money and grow unique varieties that aren’t readily available at garden centers. In this workshop you’ll learn some simple techniques and the  basic start-up supplies you’ll need to successfully grow your own vegetable, herb and flower transplants for the garden.

Emma Erler joined UNH Extension as the Education Center Program Coordinator in 2017. Her expertise is in landscape horticulture, and she works with Master Gardener volunteers to answer the thousands of questions submitted annually to the Infoline, and designs and delivers workshops and presentations about gardening and nature for the state’s gardening public.
